ALT... that Charles Melville Hays (pictured), the president of the Grand Trunk Railway, who perished on

the RMS Titanic, prophesied the disaster?

It's a nice article; I've made a number of copyedits to fix various issues. However, I'm very sorry to say that it doesn't meet the DYK criteria. Specifically, the 2x expansion rule applies only to biographies of living persons, not biographies in general. To qualify for DYK, it would need a 5x expansion, i.e. from 977 words to at least 4,885. It falls far short of this at 2,007 words at the most recent revision [1]. Prioryman (talk) 12:13, 24 March 2012 (UTC)
  • DRAT! what a stupid rule. I worked so hard on it and it was perfect for the 14th! Check out Margaret Bechstein Hays which I also nominated here.--Ishtar456 (talk) 13:16, 24 March 2012 (UTC)
