Charles Wilson (librarian)[edit]

Portrait of Charles Wilson

5x expanded by Schwede66 (talk). Self nominated at 17:23, 15 January 2014 (UTC).

  • At 5142B, the article has been adequately expanded compared with 575B of this version of 19 November. The hook checks out perfectly to the cited source. However, there are some close paraphrasing concerns:
  1. "He received his education at Harrogate College" (article) – "and received his early education at Harrogate College" (source);
  2. "placing the library beside the tinder dry parliament buildings" (article) – "new fireproof building beside the tinder dry parliament buildings" (source);
  3. "wilson saw his role in traditional terms and" (article) – "he saw his role in traditional terms" (source)
Disclaimer: There may be others, as I did not check all the sources. -- Ohc ¡digame! 08:53, 21 January 2014 (UTC)
  • I've attended to close paraphrasing concerns; sorry, must have had a bad day. Alt1 is clearly better. Schwede66 17:54, 21 January 2014 (UTC)
  • "Wilson was taken home, and later delivered to the Bowen Street hospital. He died four days later without ever having recovered consciousness" (article) – "Wilson was taken to his home, and later to a hospital, but he died without fully recovering consciousness" (source). Keep going... As an aside, The word "delivered" just sounds inappropriate to me. -- Ohc ¡digame! 14:21, 24 January 2014 (UTC)
I've copyedited it, now needs somebody else to review and approve it. -- Ohc ¡digame! 03:24, 25 January 2014 (UTC)
  • Nice job - thank you. Would you like me to add you to the DYK credits? Schwede66 03:33, 25 January 2014 (UTC)
  • You're welcome. No need to credit me, it was only a few minutes' work. -- Ohc ¡digame! 22:30, 25 January 2014 (UTC)
  • Article was expanded 5x within five days of nomination; it's long enough, well sourced, and I've double-checked for close paraphrasing. ALT1 is interesting, accurate and cited. Image is PD and present (in uncropped form) in the article. QPQ has been done. DoctorKubla (talk) 09:24, 6 February 2014 (UTC)
