Chief Kickingstallionsims[edit]

Created by Temple of the Mousy (talk). Nominated by Js20030 (talk) at 22:59, 26 January 2015 (UTC).

  • New enough, long enough, neutrally written, adequately referenced, no close paraphrasing seen. The first hook is what caught my eye, so I say go with that. I traced the cite to its original source on the Sports Illustrated website, which has a gallery called "Great Names in Sports". I also added a ref from Bleacher Report, which puts his name in its top 10. Neither site calls his "the best name". So the hook just needs to be adjusted per one of these sources. No QPQ needed for nominator with less than 5 DYK credits. Yoninah (talk) 20:12, 4 March 2015 (UTC)
Kickingstallionsims's Alabama State bio quotes Sports Illustrated on "Best Name in College Sports," but I came up with an alternate hook.
  • Sports Illustrated said "great names", not "best names". Without using quotes, you could say "one of the greatest names". Yoninah (talk) 22:39, 4 March 2015 (UTC)
  • Thanks. ALT5 hook ref verified and cited inline. ALT5 good to go. Yoninah (talk) 23:12, 4 March 2015 (UTC)
