  • Comment: Opening date is Saturday, 29 October. Sorry for the short review period. Regarding the claim that it's the first pop-up mall, there's also a project in London, which was supposed to be open in August 2011, but it's been delayed and I can't see any concrete date for their opening. I'll put something about this on the article's talk page.

  • It would appear that the 'world first claim' isn't correct, so I have provided ALT1. Schwede66 04:20, 26 October 2011 (UTC)
well written, detailed, referenced, pic free. By the day of the opening, please adjust the tense in the article. I had to look up what CBD means. If I am not the only one, it should be explained. I also don't see the claim "most" in the article easily, but 27 "container shops" (no total, or where?), therefore suggest:
ALT2 ... that with today's opening of the City Mall in Christchurch (pictured), the first part of the central city reopens since the February earthquake, with 27 shops accommodated in shipping containers? --Gerda Arendt (talk) 07:10, 26 October 2011 (UTC)
ALT3 ... that with today's opening of the City Mall in Christchurch (pictured), the first part of the central business district reopens since the February earthquake, with 27 shops accommodated in shipping containers?
Thanks, Gerda, for the review. The 27 shops is a good addition; there might be another half dozen shops in the remaining buildings (there's not much left in this section, and what remains are often pretty large companies covering a whole building), but it hasn't been reported who else will open. So the 27 shops as per the sources is great. I used 'CBD' rather than linking to the Christchurch Central City article (which I wrote some time ago) because the central city is defined as a much larger area than what is currently the red zone (i.e. the non-accessible part of the central city), whereas it's pretty much the central business district that's still closed (and there is no geographic definition for the CBD in the first place). So technically, linking it to the central city article is not correct. I've tried to make it correct with ALT3. And yes, I'll change the tense on Friday night / Saturday morning, suitable for mall opening and DYK timing.
If the 12 hour cycle will remain until Saturday, the queue to aim for is either Queue 6 (1 am NZ time) or Queue 1 (1 pm NZ time). Schwede66 07:25, 26 October 2011 (UTC)

Thanks! I've added another photo; this one is more recent and shows the look after the latest upgrade. It's also freely licensed. Schwede66 19:08, 26 October 2011 (UTC)
