  • Article is new/long enough. No POV/close paraphrasing problems. However, I am a bit dubious about the meaning/proper citation of the hook. It says that Macfarlane started the Transpac race. Which is a bit vague to me; does it mean he helped found it? that he initiated the idea? The sources likewise don't provide more details. The first one says: "Hawaii was indebted to Mr. Macfarlane in 1906 when his efforts made the first trans-Pacific yacht race possible.", the second one mentions nothing of the sort, except that it confirms that he sailed his boat from Hawaii to SF. Some clarification would be appreciated. Yazan (talk) 09:58, 17 January 2017 (UTC)
  • @Zozo2kx: The idea was his and he initiated the idea of the race [2]. --KAVEBEAR (talk) 10:31, 17 January 2017 (UTC)
  • @KAVEBEAR: That's good enough for me. QPQ checked. This should be good to go. Yazan (talk) 10:33, 17 January 2017 (UTC)
