Clay Higgins[edit]

Created/expanded by Muboshgu (talk). Self-nominated at 23:21, 10 December 2016 (UTC).

  • A QPQ review appears to be needed before this can move forward. North America1000 01:55, 21 December 2016 (UTC)
  • QPQ is done. – Muboshgu (talk) 21:37, 26 December 2016 (UTC)

Review

  • Article converted from redirect and nominated the same day, over 2000 characters so long enough, and policy compliant.
  • References need cleaning up, 2, 3, 7, 10, 11, 12, and 13 are newspaper articles missing publication dates, and 4 is a bare url.
  • QPQ review done, as required.
  • Washington Post source [2] confirms "Cajun John Wayne", so ALT0 is ok. He is no longer a Representative-elect, so a reference to his being an incumbent member of the House of Reps should be added and ALTs modified accordingly.
  • ALT0 is neutral and short enough.
  • Earwig raises no issues, merely noting names of positions etc, and no close paraphrasing is observed.
  • Text notes a deceased first wife who is not included in the infobox, she should be added if her name is available.
  • Referencing needs fixing and the House position needs updating, but these are easy fixes. ALT0 is fine, other ALTs dependent on updates. EdChem (talk) 07:50, 4 January 2017 (UTC)
  • Hooks have been updated to indicate he's sworn in. Will look into the referencing later today. – Muboshgu (talk) 18:25, 4 January 2017 (UTC)
  • @EdChem: The bare url is filled in, and a source added that he was sworn in yesterday. Sources don't need to be fully filled out by any DYK rules that I'm aware of, though I will go through them anyway. – Muboshgu (talk) 21:28, 4 January 2017 (UTC)
  • @Muboshgu: You are correct that the rules do not require the dates, but I do appreciate that you have provided them. Had you only addressed the bare url and added the update on swearing-in, I would probably have added the dates myself.  :) The ALTs are now all confirmed, so I can finalise the nomination. EdChem (talk) 22:58, 4 January 2017 (UTC)
  • ALT0, ALT1, and ALT2 are all confirmed. Nomination requirements met, ready for promotion. My preference is ALT1, but I'm comfortable with the others if the promoter has a different view. Nominator Muboshgu might want to express a preference, too. EdChem (talk) 22:58, 4 January 2017 (UTC)
  • Thank you. I also prefer ALT1. – Muboshgu (talk) 23:01, 4 January 2017 (UTC)
