Climate Hawks Vote

[edit]
  • Comment: New article created June 1 under AfC, started in my sandbox on Apr 30. I recognize that there could be concern about this hook advertising Sen. Sander's campaign, but that isn't the intent. I am truly undecided on the presidential race, so that is not my purpose at all. We are far outside the 30-day election window, and I believe this is the most interesting hook for Climate Hawks Vote.

  • Earwig's copyvio negative, size and age ok, hook sourced and faithful to source. good to go. Cas Liber (talk · contribs) 20:34, 9 July 2015 (UTC)
  • I agree that with Bernie Sanders in the news now, it does look like campaigning. You have plenty of other names and material to use for a hook. Yoninah (talk) 09:49, 10 July 2015 (UTC)
  • The guideline is 30 days from the election. We are currently at 206 days. The reality is that we never stop campaigning in the U.S. The nominated page is inherently a political page, and you aren't going to get away from that. Hillary Clinton's presidential campaign was explicitly mentioned in a DYK just a few months ago ("... that Hillary Clinton's 2016 presidential campaign began with a road trip from New York to Iowa in a customized Chevrolet Express van?"). Unlike that one, I am not even proposing mentioning Sanders as a candidate but as a Senator. Mitt Romney got mentioned twice in DYK in the two months before the 2012 general election. Your objection is not based on guidelines or precedent.RichardMathews (talk) 14:58, 10 July 2015 (UTC)
  • I hear you. We just ran another Hillary Clinton hook about her 2000 coffee table book. Restoring tick per Casliber's review. Yoninah (talk) 19:55, 11 July 2015 (UTC)
