• alt1 ... that in 1781 both a Dutch zoologist and a Swedish naturalist described the transverse ladybird (pictured)?

• Length references and age are good. No policy issues found. Image status is good. Hook fact is a little shaky, as the "valuable" assertion and the amount of control are not specified in the reference. I suggest the alt hook.--Kevmin § 18:43, 3 February 2012 (UTC)
