Curtis Comes Home
[edit]- ... that professional wrestling referee Mark Curtis made an unannounced appearance at Curtis Comes Home, his own benefit show?
- Reviewed: n/a - not a self-nomination
Moved to mainspace by 72.74.205.152 (talk). Nominated by GaryColemanFan (talk) at 15:03, 12 July 2015 (UTC).
- New enough, long enough, neutral, no copyvios issues, verifiable. Reference #6 doesn't seem like a reliable source to me, and I believe its use in the article could be easily duplicated by a different reference; mind checking if another of the references you already have there could cover the fact it's used to cite? Hook is cited and interesting.
You have more than 5 DYK credits, so you are not subject to the QPQ exemption. I haven't been able to find any exemption to QPQ for nominations of other editors in the rules or supplementary rules, so one is still needed unless you can point me towards a rule that says otherwise. It's in the reviewing guide, nevermind. QPQ done, just waiting on the RS issue. ~ RobTalk 00:34, 15 July 2015 (UTC)
- I added another reference to the match result that was only covered by the Shark Boy reference. I haven't removed the reference at this point, as it seems to fall within the guidelines for WP:SPS, as Shark Boy is an industry insider and the claim doesn't seem self-serving or controversial. Would you want it removed altogether? GaryColemanFan (talk) 02:19, 17 July 2015 (UTC)
- @GaryColemanFan: If a self-published source can be replaced by a secondary source of equal or greater value, it's generally advisable to do so. I won't hold up the review over it, though, as that goes beyond a DYK review. Originally, I had thought it was a fan site, not an official site. That leaves the QPQ. I double-checked on whether QPQs are required for non-self-noms, and apparently there was a somewhat recent change that requires them for all nominations. See here. This is good to go after a QPQ is completed. ~ RobTalk 02:47, 17 July 2015 (UTC)
