New enough, long enough, neutrally written, adequately referenced, no close paraphrasing seen. (There really was a lot of close paraphrasing in the article, but I edited it out.) QPQ done. Since this is a BLP, I struck ALT1. I do not see anything about dividing the country, as in ALT0, ALT3, and ALT5; perhaps this information was rewritten in the article. ALT2 is a little confusing for casual readers; why is the flag bearer position and the presidency conflated in the hook? ALT4 violates the close paraphrasing rule since it does not put the president's words in quotes.- I suggest something along these lines:
- ALT6: ... that in 2017 Dan Botwe, a former political exile, became a cabinet member and minister in Ghana's newly created Ministry of Regional Reorganization and Development? Yoninah (talk) 23:05, 30 July 2017 (UTC)

- Worked on ALT4. The article says that Akufo-Addo created the ministry to oversee the division of several regions in the country in fulfillment of one of his political promises hence ALT3, his mandate for the ministry is to divide those regions in Ghana. - @Crosstemplejay: Re ALT4: this is not what the source says. Moreover, why are you identifying him as a computer scientist when he's a politician and cabinet minister? Re ALT3: the article (and source) call these "regions", not parts. And it's only two regions. It sounds like they're being redrawn, which is how I edited it in the article. If you could say this in a hookier way, it might work. Yoninah (talk) 20:41, 1 August 2017 (UTC)
