Dan Fable
- ... that the ex-joiner Dan Fable built his own recording studio?
5x expanded by Launchballer (talk). Self-nominated at 10:54, 2 October 2023 (UTC). Post-promotion hook changes for this nom will be logged at Template talk:Did you know nominations/Dan Fable; consider watching this nomination, if it is successful, until the hook appears on the Main Page.
- Launchballer, I am not reviewing this but I have some suggestions. I would recommend Wikilinking Joinery because this seems to be a British term that might not be universally known. I would also recommend a different more interesting hook like: ALT1: ... that after spending time in prison as a youth, Dan Fable built his own recording studio and started his own record label? This is because just building your own recording studio, while interesting, doesn't mean much if nothing was done with it. HickoryOughtShirt?4 (talk) 12:04, 2 October 2023 (UTC)
- ALT2: ... that in 2017, Dan Fable opened a videography company offering two live music videos and a photoshoot for £100?
- ALT3: ... that Dan Fable started singing in prison?
- ALT4: ... that Dan Fable had to complete "Low Down" very quickly after Venbee uploaded part of it online?--Launchballer 12:23, 2 October 2023 (UTC)
Sufficiently recent expansion at the time of nomination, just past the DYK length threshold. No DYK-eligibility issues (but could use a little copyediting -- is "got into" music the right tone?). ALT3 and Hickory's ALT1 are the best hooks by a significant margin, imo. Minor query: does "on a conveyer belt" mean the use of a literal conveyer belt to record somehow? @Launchballer, Vaticidalprophet, and AirshipJungleman29: I've pulled this hook; I'm not sure this article passes NSINGER as written, and have sent it to AfD. theleekycauldron (talk • she/her) 18:37, 4 November 2023 (UTC)
- @Launchballer: Can you please address theleekycauldron's concerns above? Z1720 (talk) 01:32, 25 November 2023 (UTC)
