Insufficient recent expansion

Dan Wolf[edit]

2x expanded and sourced (BLP) by Grammarxxx (talk). Self nominated at 04:13, 15 July 2013 (UTC).

  • Sorry, but to be eligible under the 2× BLP exception, an article must have absolutely no references prior to expansion. This had eleven inline citations to nine sources. Therefore, the regular five times expansion rule applies. The article was 2978 prose characters before expansion, and it's currently 6260, so another 8630 would be required. • The article has subsequently expanded to 7290 prose characters, meaning another 7600 would be needed to reach 5x. I have just posted to the nominator's talk page, in the hopes that Grammarxxx will come here and tell us whether such an expansion—slightly more than double the current length—will be undertaken. If so, we can allow a little more time; if not, then the nomination will be closed. BlueMoonset (talk) 02:29, 24 July 2013 (UTC)
  • Oh, sorry about that, I was under the impression this was a cut and dry thing. Yeah, I've taken it almost as far as I can, but I won't be able to add that much more. Thanks for the time and support though! Grammarxxx (What'd I do this time?) 03:14, 24 July 2013 (UTC)
  • We like to give the nominator a chance to meet one of the other conditions if there's a problem with the rule they were shooting for. Sorry it won't work out this time, and I hope you try submitting to DYK again. It's extremely rare that the 2x BLP expansion rule is a possibility, since new BLPs are deleted if they don't have any sourcing, and the old unsourced BLPs were mostly expanded long since.
