Lots of refs and hook is interesting. Reads OK. Nice to see a picture even if it was fair use. The length is a bit short which I make about 1450 (ish). Could you also add one extra ref straight after the sentence with the hook fact in it. Thanks a lot for writing and contributing. Cheers Victuallers (talk) 21:05, 14 August 2013 (UTC)
- Thanks for your review. I'm not sure how you calculated the length, as I find it to be 1,772 characters long. WRT the reference straight after the hook comment I have long had a problem with that criterion as it goes against good practice with referencing and avoiding over-citation. I'm not sure why you have volunteered whether you agree with the criteria. It doesn't affect the outcome. I calculated the total by cut and pasting the bare text into a word processor and asking it for a word count. It said 1450 and that was including the titles - so its an over estimate. It now says 1550 but I realize I should maybe mahe included the spaces which I guess you have done. I can see quite clearly that you have three references but the request is to have one reference after the hook fact. I thank you again for your contributions but you do need to observe the criteria. If you want to change the rules then this is possible too - but not here Victuallers (talk) 08:01, 15 August 2013 (UTC)
- Indeed, you are supposed to count spaces so I'm glad you accept the length. As for the references well I've done it to satisfy the criteria, whether it stays that way after its appearance on DYK we will have to wait and see... violet/riga [talk] 09:44, 15 August 2013 (UTC)
Removing the extra ref is a good idea once its been through the process - its only purpose I believe is to help the reviewer. Thanks for thanks for the image.
