Shalor (Wiki Ed), it appears that this nomination was opened twice on November 19: here, and at Template:Did you know nomination/Deschooling. (Note the omission of the "s" at the end of "nominations" on the one you edited, which appears to have been created 18 minutes after this one was created.) I have copied your adjustments here so that this one (with the correct naming scheme) has the correct contents; I have also removed you as nominator, since MadisonLiggio didi the actual nominating. (If you're able to merge the edit history of the two templates, the badly named one's history should be merged into this one, while the other one should be deleted.)

Since this was nominated on November 19, and nominations are supposed to be made no more than seven days following the start of the expansion, the expansion is deemed to have started on November 12, so it's the previous edit (in this case, the final edit on November 2) that counts. As of that edit, the article had 3608 prose characters, which is larger than its current size of 2598 prose characters; it's shrunk by 1010. Even if we were to allow the expansion to start at the beginning of November 2 (in which case the article would have been nominated ten days late, and I can't recall if we've ever allowed so great a miss, the article prior to expansion was 938 prose characters, which would require an expansion to 4690 prose characters—it's currently 2092 short, and a good thousand of those were removed as part of Emilychingle's clean-up (it topped out briefly at 4007, but what matters is where the article is now). Between the considerable lateness of the nomination and the fact that it's only at a 2.75x expansion at the moment, I don't see how it can proceed. If you think adding another 2100 prose characters is both feasible and likely to be done before the end of the year, we can hold this open, but otherwise, I don't think doing so is useful. @BlueMoonset: I was afraid of that. You can go ahead and close this - the students are unlikely to return, as the class ended their project on the last day of November and there haven't been any edits from any of the students since 12/1.
