Drama dari Krakatau

[edit]

Krakatoa eruption, lithograph

  • ALT1 hook seems preferable to me – it's shorter and more intriguing. Prose length, date of creation and copyvio all seem fine, assuming good faith on non-English references. QPQ checks out too. However, the statement in the hook about a Vishnu's statue being blamed for the eruption requires an inline citation to the source. Pending this, the DYK is good to go. • The book is at home, so I won't be able to address that bit until tomorrow at the earliest (though I note that the general idea is supported by John Kwee, 1980 on page 84). I'd rather you didn't strike the ALTs, as what you find most intriguing may not be what the person who promotes this hook finds intriguing. — Crisco 1492 (talk) 10:55, 20 January 2014 (UTC)
  • Mea culpa, I shouldn't have struck the ALTs – haven't reviewed a DYK for a while. I know I'm being too finicky about the citation, especially given your DYK and overall Wikipedia record, but it just seems to be a proper thing to have for ALT1. • No worries about that. Or we could perhaps rephrase "blamed" with "associated", which is supported by John Kwee's article? — Crisco 1492 (talk) 23:12, 20 January 2014 (UTC)
  • Or "credited for". ))) On a serious note, how about this rewrite:
That works with me. — Crisco 1492 (talk) 14:38, 21 January 2014 (UTC)
All right then. Regards, Cinosaur (talk) 19:36, 21 January 2014 (UTC)
