  • Article is of proper length and is well-sourced. Made one punctuation change on hook, which is of proper length and is cited within the article. Looks good! --McDoobAU93 20:13, 23 June 2014 (UTC)

  • A number of the key sources, including the one for the hook, are behind paywalls, so I personally am unable to verify all of them. Those I can compare, however, show no evidence of close paraphrasing. In one example, the peacock words used in the source were expunged and replaced with a similar, neutral statement in the article here. --McDoobAU93 02:15, 26 June 2014 (UTC)

It's amazing how often a truly dull hook is nominated when material so much better is available. Howzabout:
  • ALT1: that American artist Ed McGowin changed his name and identity twelve times over an eighteenth-month period?

That reads fine to me; it's the artist's most significant work. Personally I don't know why founding an art school isn't significant, but I don't feel it necessary to argue the point. Jeremy112233 (Lettuce-jibber-jabber?) 15:08, 29 June 2014 (UTC)
It's not that founding an art school isn't significant, it's just not catchy. "Marge -- come look at this! This artist founded an art school!" verus "Wow! This guy changed his name 12 times!" Which do you think will get more people clicking through to the article and learning about the subject? EEng (talk) 15:40, 29 June 2014 (UTC)
Not only that, but the art school in question appears to be barely notable. ALT1 is much better IMO - but ideally someone with HIGHBEAM access is needed to verify it. Gatoclass (talk) 16:25, 29 June 2014 (UTC)

This source is used in the article (footnote #3 I believe) and confirms ALT1. The second source (footnote 13) is WP:PRIMARY and thus no good, but the Washington Post article is certainly a notable third-party mention. --McDoobAU93 00:50, 30 June 2014 (UTC)
