Effects of climate change on wine production[edit]

Created/expanded by Ckra9129 (talk). Nominated by WikiDan61 (talk) at 20:46, 29 November 2012 (UTC)

Expansion okay. Size okay. Date okay. Article well referenced. Not a self-nomination and so QPQ not required. Hook referenced with print source. May be accepted on good faith. Can the hook be shortened a little? Given below is a suggestion. - Chandan Guha (talk) 05:31, 7 December 2012 (UTC)

  • ALT 1 ... that due to the effects of climate change on wine production, the northern boundary of European viticulture will shift north an estimated 10 to 30 kilometres (6.2 to 18.6 mi) per decade up to 2020?
  • I like ALT 1 -- active voice over passive every time! To go even shorter we might try ALT 2, although it is less precise by dropping the actual numbers (but adds a WikiLink for "viticulture" which may not be a commonly understood term: WikiDan61ChatMe!ReadMe!! 11:55, 7 December 2012 (UTC)
  • ALT 2 ... that due to the effects of climate change on wine production, the northern boundary of European viticulture is shifting northward?
  • Everything okay. ALT 2 hook preferred - Chandan Guha (talk) 13:32, 7 December 2012 (UTC)
