Ellen Lee[edit]

Created by Bonkers The Clown (talk). Self nominated at 12:50, 18 October 2013 (UTC).

  • Article was created today, at 1741 bytes of prose is long enough. Article is reliably sourced, and hook is quite interesting, though it would be nice to see in the article exactly why the award was given. Also, I don't understand why she's known as Ellen Lee when her given name is Ellen Lee Geck Hoon. Anyway, good to go. Ritchie333 (talk) (cont) 13:57, 18 October 2013 (UTC)
Because Ellen Lee Geck Hoon is a tad too long for lazy people to refer to. People call him Barack Obama most of the time. They drop the Hussein, right? Hmm, the source does not specify, but isn't it obvious that you get the Public Service Star for your service to the public? Lee couldn't have gotten it for making muffins, yeah. ☯ Bonkers The Clown \(^_^)/ Nonsensical Babble ☯ 14:05, 18 October 2013 (UTC)
I'm assuming good faith that the name and Public Service Star are blindingly obvious if you live in Singapore, which is why I'm not going to let them hold up the DYK. For the rest of the world, it's not necessarily obvious! Ritchie333 (talk) (cont) 14:16, 18 October 2013 (UTC)
