Ernst Keil[edit]

  • ... that German publisher Ernst Keil (pictured) developed the idea for one of the most widely read magazines of the 19th century while in prison? Source: "In der Haftzeit entwickelte, K. den Gedanken zu der Zeitschrift die ihn berühmt machte und ihn um viele Jahre überlebte"

Interesting substantial article, more substantial than the German, thank you! Good sources, offline sources accepted AGF. no copyvio obious. In the hook, you may want to mention Gartenlaube, or expand the piping. Nobody will see that a link to magazines will carry something special. The image is good and licensed. How do you feel about an infobox? I could do without his place of birth pictured a second time. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 23:24, 29 December 2016 (UTC)
Great suggestion re: infobox. Added! Along with 2 more refs. I took out the 2nd photo of his birthplace as it wasn't great anyway. Will work on better hook Ultracobalt (talk) 03:45, 30 December 2016 (UTC)
I expanded the piping above to make it clearer there's more than just a definition behind the link, and then added English citations to support the hook. Another approach is below Ultracobalt (talk) 07:02, 4 January 2017 (UTC)
