- This article needs a bit of grammatical editing and I am also finding some inaccuracies (for ex: the Alternativa Teatral article actually states she was only nominated for the Cóndor de Plata award
and the La Nación article doesn't exactly state that she decided to start her acting career in Spain to avoid the influences of her actor family members.) I'm going to do what I can to fix these issues. : - Article age and character count are good. (At least at first glance — the character count will have to be revisited after the appropriate edits have been made in order for the article to meet the DYK guidelines.)
- Sources seem reliable overall: La Nación, La Razón and Río Negro are all longstanding newspapers. However I'm not so sure about Alternativa Teatral; I'm not from Argentina, but Spanish Wikipedia does not have any information about them and they appear to be an independent site. They do list an editing staff on their site, but unfortunately there is no way to know if it is accurate. Unfortunately García Lago's awards aren't mentioned on IMDb so I'm thinking that this statement either needs to be cited with a better reference or removed, as well as the other statement about her working as an acting coach.
- The hook is verified, but I'm thinking it could be "hookier". It sort of falls under the "... that X is Y?" format that the DYK review guide suggests that one avoid, but I think I'm going to do some editing clean-up before suggesting any hooks. --Marchije•speak/peek 01:54, 14 September 2012 (UTC)
- I've done a bit of editing to clean-up the grammar. I did however note that we do not have a reference for her date of birth, which will also have to be removed unless we can site a reliable source, and that there are a couple more sentences without references. I plan on working on this some more tomorrow unless someone else wants to pick up the ball in the meantime. Cheers --Marchije•speak/peek 02:23, 14 September 2012 (UTC)

I have referenced the awards. They are mentioned in IMBD, you had to search for it a little. The "Lauro sin cortes" award is not mentioned there, but it is in Alternativa Teatral (have in mind that it's a 1996 award, internet was not massive in Argentina by then, and the online records of that time may not be complete... for example, Clarín archives do not go beyond September 1997). The site "Alternativa teatral" is endorsed by the ministry of Culture and the government of the city of Buenos Aires, so I would consider it to be reliable. - Thanks for finding that IMDb link Cambalchero. I've also done some rewording including removing some info that wasn't supported by the references -- I did however leave that bit about why she went to Spain after re-reading the referenced article. There is still the issue of her date of birth and unfortunately none of the articles cited actually state that she was born in Buenos Aires either - they simply imply that she is "from" there. Reliable sources should be cited for that information if it is to remain in the article. --Marchije•speak/peek 01:48, 15 September 2012 (UTC)
- Yes, I'm aware of that other part, I'm still searching for some reference on that Cambalachero (talk) 02:33, 15 September 2012 (UTC)
- I did not find any reference for the date of birth or the place of origin, so I removed them (however, I left the "birth date and age" template, hidden, in case I find that info in the future). Is there something else? Cambalachero (talk) 18:54, 17 September 2012 (UTC)

- ALT 1:...that the decision to make Fabiana García Lago's character in the telenovela Sos mi vida a Paraguayan immigrant came after she tried the Guaraní language accent during the first day of filming?
- ALT 2:...that at 19 years of age, Argentine actress Fabiana García Lago moved to Spain in an effort to avoid the influence of her acting family while starting her own acting career?
