Article is new enough (created July 22), long enough (barely, at around 1700 characters excluding lists and headings), and uses in-line citations. The article's text is a bit rough, though. For example, it uses the word "termin" which, so far as I can determine, is a German, but not an English, word. Also, and understandably since the nominator's first language is Turkish, some of the phrasing is awkward (e.g., "Soon, he ended his player career and preferred to pursue a coaching career", "enjoyed champion title", "the playing-free summer time", "he guided the Turkish team victorious"). Article could use a copy edit before appearing on the Main Page. Sources are all in Turkish so I am unable either to do an effective copy edit or to verify the hook fact. Moreover, the article does not assert or establish that Akbas is a "28-year-old"; it merely recites without in-line citation that he was born in 1986 -- which could make him 27 or 28, depending on his date of birth. Do we have anyone at DYK who reads Turkish to give this a look for paraphrasing, etc., and to make sure the hook fact is otherwise supported? QPQ has been completed. - Thank you for your in-depth review and comments. I changed the word "termin". Yes, you're right, it happens to me some times that I use the German word for the English one. The issue about the age, 27 or 28, is not correct. Ref #1 supports his age as of 28, already in the article's title. The hook fact is also inline cited. I would be more thankful if you could copyedit the article because you took the time to examine it in detail. Many wikipedians use Google translator to check foreign language sources. CeeGee, I did make one tweak to the article, but google translate does not work very smoothly on these Turkish language sources. Accordingly, I'm not comfortable doing a fuller copy edit to this article, out of concerns for the imprecise mechanical translation. I'm also not sure if "appointment" is the right word to use in place of the prior German word "termin." The basic review is done, but I would like to see this receive a solid copy editing before it is featured on the Main Page. I invite anyone at DYK with Turkish language skill to provide an assist to CeeGee in cleaning this up. I am invoking the red icon for that limited purpose. Cbl62 (talk) 15:32, 3 August 2014 (UTC)
