FreeConferenceCall.com

  • ... that FreeConferenceCall.com faced a public backlash for trying to change its hold music? Source: "And though people poke fun, we’ve grown so accustomed to that innocuous jazziness that when the company attempted to change it out in the late 2000s, there was actual outrage. Customers complained en masse, forcing Free Conference Corporation (yep) to keep the “Soul” alive." [1]
    • ALT1:... that FreeConferenceCall.com lets kids leave a voice mail for Santa Claus? Source: "From now until Christmas Day, Santa’s 24-hour hotline is open for kids to call and leave him a personal voicemail message."[2]

  • The article is new enough, long enough, adequately sourced, with both hooks being interesting and cited inline (though personally, ALT1 sounds hookier). No QPQ required for the nominator, who is new to DYK. This is almost ready to go, but I wonder if a third hook (about the hold music being used in YouTube and Soundcloud remixes) could be proposed here. • Since the nominator hasn't edited since the day of the nomination and is unlikely to respond anytime soon, this is probably now good to go; there also appear to be no more issues holding this back. Narutolovehinata5 tccsdnew 04:35, 28 August 2019 (UTC)
