Fumiteru Nakano[edit]

Created by Wolbo (talk). Nominated by Lajbi (talk) at 17:54, 7 June 2013 (UTC).

  • Date, length, reference and QPQ checks. Regarding the hook, I think "by any Japanese" could be much better worded. Obviously being the men's single's this feat is only open to men, so how about rewording to "a result that was not (MOS:N'T) achieved again by a Japanese man until 2013?" Mentioning Kei Nishikori name in the hook is all well and good, but a) it makes the hook longer than it needs to be and b) it distracts from the hooks subject, being Fumiteru Nakano. Just something to take into consideration. Also I think the article would be better if instead of placing the note b) in the article you just expanded the actual prose. I.e: "Nakano reached the fourth round of the men's singles at the 1937 French Championships, a feat that would not be achieved again by a Japanese man until 2013".
