  • ... that in June 2019, Hamilton Tiger-Cats placekicker Gabriel Amavizca (pictured) became the first global player to score points in a CFL regular season game kicking two converts at his team's 64–14 win over the Toronto Argonauts? • Image is very low-brightness and should be increased in contrast. Hook is over length and "global player" may need to be defined for a general audience. (Reviewer is Canadian and unfamiliar with the phrase's exact meaning - does it refer to players originating outside Canada and the United States, or just Canada?) I think this is a really good fact, if I understand it correctly - can't believe the CFL has gone so many years without accomplishing this! Awmcphee (talk) 20:35, 9 September 2019 (UTC)
ALT1 ... that in June 2019, Hamilton Tiger-Cats placekicker Gabriel Amavizca (pictured) became the first non-Canadian or non-American player to score points in a CFL regular season match?
@Awmcphee and Cocu15:Would this wording work better? Narutolovehinata5 tccsdnew 02:06, 11 September 2019 (UTC)
@Awmcphee: Indeed, "global player" refers to any player originating outside Canada and the United States.
@Narutolovehinata5: I think it works, thanks. Cocu15 (talk) 6:32, 11 September 2019 (UTC)
@Awmcphee: Would you be able to approve ALT1 or is it not sufficient? SL93 (talk) 02:35, 21 September 2019 (UTC)
I'm just going to approve ALT1, without the image as it is now, because the original reviewer has been pinged here and on their talk page multiple times already. So much for the reviewer's AGF at Template:Did you know nominations/Sacred Heart Church of the First Peoples that Awmcphee would finish the QPQ. That DYK has already been on the main page, but two QPQs should be required if the first reviewer ever nominates an article again for DYK. SL93 (talk) 02:42, 21 September 2019 (UTC)
I now see that the reviewer only has one DYK credit... SL93 (talk) 02:51, 21 September 2019 (UTC)
