• ... that the annual Gary Con gaming convention in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin originated as a get-together for friends and family after the March 2008 funeral for Dungeons & Dragons creator Gary Gygax?

• I'm aware that at this exact moment the page doesn't have 1500 characters, but I'll be building and citing more the next few days. The hook itself is well cited, by book and by online Forbes source (same author). Also the hook is 196 characters, so I might be able to trim that up a bit as well. • At 927 bytes, this article is too short to qualify for DYK. The creator has not edited it since the day it was created, December 27th. Cwmhiraeth (talk) 20:17, 16 January 2014 (UTC)

• New article of sufficient length, adequately cited including an online blog article by Black Gate Magazine which verifies the facts in the hook. I can't see anything else holding this nomination back. Good to go! Sionk (talk) 02:59, 28 January 2014 (UTC)
