George Kelly (baseball)
[edit]- ... that Hall of Famer George Kelly was nearly suspended by Major League Baseball for playing basketball with Jimmy O'Connell?
- Comment: Feel free to rewrite that hook, but I've expanded this article 5x in terms of prose today. The subject is a member of the MLB Hall of Fame, and this story used for the DYK wasn't in the article when I started editing it this morning.

- Interesting story behind the hook -- and an impressive job expanding the article. I haven't been able to read all of the sources related to the Jimmy O'Connell scandals (I did read some of them), so I'm marking this as an AGF. Everything else checks out. --Orlady (talk) 19:15, 23 November 2011 (UTC)
