Gera Demands

  • ... that Erich Honecker demanded that West Germany violate article 116 of its Basic Law by recognising East German citizenship? [1]
    • ALT1:... that Erich Honecker demanded that West Germany close an agency that counted human rights violations in his own state? [2]

  • Picture is unsuitable since only one of those appearing is Honecker and his appearance is not directly related to the hook. (t · c) buidhe 23:53, 13 March 2021 (UTC)
@Buidhe: understood. Out of interest: what sort of image of Honecker would be deemed suitable? The rules are vague on this, but I would have though that a portrait of him is automatically relevant since it was he who made these demands. Modussiccandi (talk) 00:18, 14 March 2021 (UTC)
In my opinion images that are good for DYK are either: 1) inherently intriguing for the reader drawing their attention, 2) a work of art or photograph of an event that is discussed in the hook. Most hooks run without an image. (t · c) buidhe 00:36, 14 March 2021 (UTC)

New article, long enough. No neutrality issues, sources used are reliable (assumed for offline works). Both of the hooks have inline citations and both are interesting, possibly the first more so. However I would suggest possibly using the term constitution rather than the less familiar 'basic law', and the exact section maybe isn't necessary in the hook, e.g. ALT2 below. QPQ is complete. The sole image in the article is correctly licensed and I would disagree with the assessment of relevance above, but I think it might not be ideal for the main page given size limitations (and likely other hooks where a visual aspect is more important). @Ivar the Boneful: thank you very much for the kind review. I agree, ALT2 might work better. Do we now need a new reviewer for the third hook because it was written by you? Modussiccandi (talk) 14:44, 30 March 2021 (UTC)
No I don't think so as it is just a rephrasing of the previous blurb, I didn't want to overwrite the original. Ivar the Boneful (talk) 14:51, 30 March 2021 (UTC)
