Gouget noir[edit]

Gouget noir from Viala et Vermorel

  • ... that prior to the phylloxera epidemic of mid-19th century there was almost 17,000 hectares (42,000 acres) of Gouget noir (pictured) but by 2008 there was just 10 hectares (25 acres) of the grape left in France?
