  • Comment: I'm also requesting advice from @Hoppyh: on other hooks if this one doesn't work out

Improved to Good Article status by Hoppyh (talk). Nominated by Miraclepine (talk) at 17:48, 10 December 2019 (UTC).

  • Reviewed: In progress
  • @Hoppyh: That could work too, but leave that to the reviewer(s). ミラP 18:23, 12 December 2019 (UTC)
  • @Miraclepine: Pardon my error; let me know if I can help. The “Reviewed” field above looks wrong, am I right? Hoppyh (talk) 20:04, 12 December 2019 (UTC)
  • Improved to Good Article status by Hoppyh and nominated in time. Reliable sources used. Prefer ALT1. ALT1 hook is backed up by inline sources. Hook length is within size limit and is interesting. QPQ done. Coat of Arms at Commons as copyright free. Good to Go. --Doug Coldwell (talk) 11:25, 13 December 2019 (UTC)
  • Just FYI, I have reviewed the guidelines for DYK-April Fools, and it occurs to me that an amended ALT1 could be a good candidate. I have received over the months several messages from agitated editors who were confidant that the article purported to say that there were three presidents named Harrison–of course there were not, and the article does not say so. Those editors failed in their haste to make the necessary distinction–that some descendants in a family share the same surname and some do not. The feedback has resulted in my having to make the matter clear in the first paragraph of the lead. The hook can be adjusted for April Fools use, if desired, with the coat of arms as a troll:
ALT2 ... that three members of the Harrison family (arms pictured) have served as president of the United States? Hoppyh (talk) 23:30, 16 December 2019 (UTC)
ALT2 would be an excellent April 1 choice as far as I am concerned. Same approval as above.--Doug Coldwell (talk) 12:54, 17 December 2019 (UTC)
It may be me being British, but what exactly is amusing or foolsy about this that makes it suitable for April Fools Day? The C of E God Save the Queen! (talk) 21:22, 17 January 2020 (UTC)
Probably because only two presidents actually were named Harrison? Regards SoWhy 09:28, 19 January 2020 (UTC)
Yes—the two named Harrison plus Lincoln. Hoppyh (talk) 19:16, 8 March 2020 (UTC)
  • As an American, I understand the joke. But I don't think the rest of the world is going to get it—or care. Yoninah (talk) 22:40, 26 March 2020 (UTC)
  • Yoninah I am quite glad the article is not being used here. For your future ref if you wish to nominate it...that President Harry S. Truman had no middle name? Hoppyh (talk) 23:01, 26 March 2020 (UTC)
