In allen meinen Taten, BWV 97[edit]

Age, length, citations, &c. are all good. The hook is well-cited and interesting but may benefit from a little trimming - for instance, "for no specified occasion" doesn't really add much! Moonraker (talk) 23:22, 23 January 2012 (UTC)

  • Better wording welcome for the unusual fact that Bach composed a sacred cantata NOT for a specific occasion, most of them were written for certain events during the liturgical year. Trying, but long:
ALT1:... that in his 1734 cantata for no specified occasion of the liturgical year, In allen meinen Taten, BWV 97, Bach set nine stanzas of Paul Fleming's hymn in as many movements, using the famous tune in the outer two? --Gerda Arendt (talk) 08:46, 24 January 2012 (UTC)
