Ioan Kalinderu[edit]

  • ... that at least two contemporaries noted the evil-looking eyes of Romanian courtier Ioan Kalinderu?
  • ALT1:... that "pseudo-historian" Ioan Kalinderu, who wrote a much-ridiculed study on the role of beards in Ancient Rome, served as president of the Romanian Academy?
  • ALT2:... that Romanian courtier Ioan Kalinderu lacked any interest in riding, but rode a horse every day because he had read that this was the fashion among lords in London?
  • ALT3:... that Romanian courtier Ioan Kalinderu was the only person with permission to ride a velocipede in Cișmigiu Gardens?
  • ALT4:... that the estate of Romanian courtier Ioan Kalinderu, who had a doctorate in law and intended to disinherit his relatives, mainly passed to them because he failed to draw up a proper will?
  • ALT5:... that the estate of Romanian courtier Ioan Kalinderu, who intended to disinherit his relatives, mainly passed to them because he failed to draw up a proper will?

  • This article is new enough and long enough. I have struck some of the hooks for various reasons, but I think any of ALT2, ALT3 and ALT4 will do, and I have added ALT5 which is ALT4 reduced in length. The article is neutral, but the sources are in Romanian and not available to me, so I could not check for copyright issues. I have added User:Dahn to the credits.
