  • This article is new enough and long enough. The ALT0 and ALT1 hooks have inline citations and I have struck ALT2 as being too clunky. The image is appropriately licensed, the article is neutral and I detected no policy issues. Cwmhiraeth (talk) 10:41, 7 August 2016 (UTC)
  • "Did you know that X is Y?" is not very hooky. Can you find any other colorful bits about his life aside from his resume? I deleted the part about him being a golfer because it wasn't in the cite given. Yoninah (talk) 22:34, 7 August 2016 (UTC)

There are a total of three references cited. The text of the second and third references cited appear to be identical. Is this correct or am I mis-reading? @Cwmhiraeth: just for awareness. MPS1992 (talk) 22:50, 7 August 2016 (UTC)

@Krishna Chaitanya Velaga: MPS1992, you are quite right, and when I looked at them to see if a hook about him having been a flying instructor and a pilot attack instructor could be made into a hook, these facts were not mentioned in the sources. Cwmhiraeth (talk) 05:04, 8 August 2016 (UTC)
@Cwmhiraeth: @MPS1992: Actually I can't find a link for the profile of the subject on IAF's page. If you can please add it as a reference. Go to the official website of Indian Air Force -> Know us-> Commands -> Southern Air Command -> AOC-in-C. Please follow the mentioned flow and one can get to this profile, but the problem is there is no link available. Please have a look at it. Regards, KC Velaga 15:05, 10 August 2016 (UTC)
That is not the problem. You should still attribute the information to the website where you got it from, regardless of whether the website has a visible URL or not. Right now, a substantial proportion of the information in the article is sourced to a website that does not contain the information in question, and never has. Also it is not appropriate to cite the same press release twice, sourced to two different websites as if they were different sources. I have fixed that problem by removing one of them. MPS1992 (talk) 17:23, 10 August 2016 (UTC)
Your question is a bit tricky, but I have added a reference to the Indian Air Force site which will probably suffice. What hook do you want me to consider now? Cwmhiraeth (talk) 17:29, 10 August 2016 (UTC)
@Cwmhiraeth: Please go ahead with the hook you feel more convincing and attractive. I am okay with anything. Regards, KC Velaga 06:09, 13 August 2016 (UTC)
Well, Yoninah thought you needed a more interesting hook. If you would like to suggest one, I can review it. Cwmhiraeth (talk) 06:28, 13 August 2016 (UTC)
  • ALT3: ... that Air Marshal Jasbir Walia (pictured) served as a qualified flying instructor, a pilot attack instructor and a fighter combat leader?
@Cwmhiraeth: Please review ALT3. Regards, KC Velaga 07:22, 13 August 2016 (UTC)
  • ALT3 is good to go. Anyone wishing to confirm the hook facts needs to click the "AOC-in-C" link on the page referenced. Cwmhiraeth (talk) 08:31, 13 August 2016 (UTC)
@Cwmhiraeth: the problems mentioned above are still present with the article. I have added templates to indicate a few examples, but there may be more. MPS1992 (talk) 09:13, 13 August 2016 (UTC)
I thought you had stated above that you had sorted out your concerns. The nominator had got the wrong reference for most of the tags you added. There are two tags left now. Cwmhiraeth (talk) 09:33, 13 August 2016 (UTC)
@Cwmhiraeth: @MPS1992: I have added references. Please have a look. Regards, KC Velaga 10:06, 13 August 2016 (UTC)
all is fine with ALT3. However please look into the query I raised on the talk page also. MPS1992 (talk) 10:10, 13 August 2016 (UTC)
