  • Article is new. Length is fine. Sources are newspaper article, and I have not reviewed primary source but no concerns for copyvio or plagiarism at this time. Hook is interesting, but a little on the long side. QPQ done. Overall, good to go. LittleT889 (talk) 03:06, 20 February 2017 (UTC)
@BU Rob13: I was going to promote this, but find it has two unreferenced paragraphs in the last section. Cwmhiraeth (talk) 10:02, 5 March 2017 (UTC)
@Cwmhiraeth: That was the result of some IP editors adding content after the review. I've removed most of it but re-added some with a cite. ~ Rob13Talk 15:08, 5 March 2017 (UTC)
  • Pulled from queue, as the hook suggests that there might have been impropriety in his draft procedure for a BLP. (see User talk:The Rambling Man). Harrias talk 09:47, 9 March 2017 (UTC)
    • @Harrias: Geez. There are absolutely no rules in the Canadian Football League (or, indeed, almost any professional league) against a prospective player who has declared for the draft speaking to team representatives. In fact, in-person interviews by interested teams are standard procedure at the NFL combine. This isn't impropriety; it's a standard part of the matching process for almost any (every?) professional league in the world. What team is going to select a player they've never talked to before? I'd love to have had the opportunity to explain this to you, but it seems that neither the blocked editor who deigned to pull this hook via proxy nor the proxy editor bothered to ping the author to allow me to respond to the issue. Do also feel free to re-insert this into the DYK page, Harrias, so it will actually be reviewed. ~ Rob13Talk 11:54, 10 March 2017 (UTC)
  • Sorry, you're completely right. I acted on what had been said, rather than stopping to think about it. Restored the approval tick. Many apologies. Harrias talk 12:45, 10 March 2017 (UTC)
