Joachim Wtewael

[edit]

Two figures on a bed, with several others around and above them

  • ... that erotic sections of two drawings by Joachim Wtewael for his paintings of Mars and Venus Surprised by the Gods (a version pictured) were cut out by later collectors?

5x expanded by Johnbod (talk). Self-nominated at 14:01, 18 April 2015 (UTC).

  • expanded from 2180 to over 11,500 characters (13,216 by 19 April). Adding caption text seems to blow the whole thing up - "Two figures on a bed, with several other around and above them" could be used. Hook ref link is p. 21 here, current ref # 24 in the article. • book ref accepted in good faith as hook source. size and age ok. Earwig's ok. good to go. Cas Liber (talk · contribs) 07:59, 26 May 2015 (UTC)
I think this will get more hits but please take the acceptance above and post to the queue if you disagree. Victuallers (talk) 10:42, 27 May 2015 (UTC)
