John Edward Jenkinson

  • Comment: Photo is a cropped version of what the article uses. The article is based on a 1902 biography that is available with a Creative Commons Attribution-Share Alike 3.0 New Zealand Licence, which I then expanded with other sources. To demonstrate that I've met the requirement of 1500 Bytes of readable prose of my own work (as opposed to the 1902 bio), I've copied the text that I have written into my sandbox, where you can see that I've written over 2100 B (here's a diff in case I need my sandbox for something else). As for the hook fact, the 1902 bio talks of him having rescued three people, but although there is heaps of media coverage, I couldn't confirm this. What I could confirm is what's stated above, with the facts backed up by three separate sources.

  • The article is big enough, but has copied a slab of text from a public domain source. Text is cited and neutral. Image is a crop of what is in the article, and copyright OK. The article satisfied the new requirement. Hook is short and interesting enough. Hook is referenced and supported by refs. Graeme Bartlett (talk) 07:36, 21 November 2011 (UTC)
