Jonah Bolden

[edit]

Created by Bagumba (talk). Self-nominated at 23:33, 18 July 2015 (UTC).

  • ALT1: ... that Jonah Bolden played for the Australia national under-19 basketball team before moving to the United States and joining the UCLA Bruins' squad?
  • @Dan arndt: Thanks noting the more specific article. I've updated that article and hook per WP:SPECIFICLINK. However, the U-19 team is still a national team. For example, this article from Saint Mary's College refers to the national team generically: "... have been selected to the Australian National Team side that will compete at the FIBA Under 19 World Championships this summer in Greece."[1] The main hook is piped, and I've included an unpiped link in a new ALT1 (above), but I worry ALT1 might be too pedantic for non-sports fans, or even casual fans.—Bagumba (talk) 05:33, 20 July 2015 (UTC)
I accept that the U-19 team is 'a' national team however the way it is used gives the reader the inaccurate impression that Bolden actually played for the Australian national men's basketball team, which he hasn't done so, yet.... Dan arndt (talk) 15:36, 20 July 2015 (UTC)

  • The article is new enough (created within 3 days of nomination), is long enough (over 2,000 characters), properly & accurately referenced and free of any paraphrasing/copyright issues.
  • The hook ALT1 is short enough, accurate and properly cited.
  • QPQ cited.
