  • Comment: Yes, I know, this sounds as an event from a wacky TV comedy rather than an event involving a real politician. But, as you can see in the three references, it is exactly what has happened (you can even see photos of the confiscated money).   • The page is definitely interesting, meets length criterion, the hook is catchy, contained within the article and cited. My issues are 1) as above and still unaddressed, the page needs editing for english and punctuation errors, not major ones but needs sorting out to get up to standard. 2) I can't check the Spanish language citations, but the english ones are used without much paraphrasing, I don't think this is prohibitive as it's important not to change the facts, and they are not verbatim copied, but I would want someone to check the Spanish ones for copyright violation, even though I suspect these ones are fine to balance them out as this may be the writers native language. 3) As 2 I don't speak Spanish, can someone check these to make sure there is nothing libellous. I have run a spell check software and fixed some details here and there. Please point if there is some remaining mistake. Te problem with international sources in English is that they only covered this story on day one, when López was detained; for info on what happened the following days it is needed to check local sources. I usually use La Nación because it is a newspaper of record, and thus a reliable source. Note, however, that it may take a while for a second reviewer who also knows Spanish to show up on his own, perhaps you should try to get one (I shouldn't do it, because it may be canvassing). Wikipedia:WikiProject Latin America/The 10,000 Challenge has several active editors who work on articles about Latin America; they are likely either familiar with Latin American culture or Latin American themselves and may Spanish well enough to help (except perhaps those who work with Brazilian articles, as Brazil's local language is Portuguese).   • Even though the page describes the event, the hook focuses on a person who has not been tried or found guilty, and therefore runs afoul of WP:BLPCRIME. Yoninah (talk) 13:33, 1 January 2017 (UTC)
  • Yes, it does. But this guy was caught by the police while doing the crime, so it is already proved that he was doing that. That's why he's jailed. The investigation now is to find out if he was a lone criminal or a member of a larger group; but the event mentioned in the hook is not disputed or under doubt. Approving as this entry is very old and nobody has raised an objection to Cambalachero's latest comment for ten days. Agree with Cambalachero. That he was detained by the police is a well documented, non-disputed fact (as indicated by the numerous reliable sources found in the article), as is the fact that he was, literally, "trying to hide millions of dollars inside a convent" when this happened. The hook is simply describing what happened - whether these actions constitute a crime is entirely another matter, to be determined by the Argentine justice (nonetheless, I'll be adding "allegedly" to he hook as the actual article reads that way, per Yoninah's edit). Plus, WP:BLPCRIME does not apply to public figures. ♠TomasBat 04:32, 14 January 2017 (UTC)
