  • The link in the hook, walnut trees, takes you to the page for the nuts and not for the tree. I doubt the carving is done using the nuts, but rather the wood from the tree, which is the Persian walnut. First Light (talk) 05:15, 2 February 2016 (UTC)
  • First Light Thanks. I have corrected the link in the hook and the article.Nvvchar. 10:18, 2 February 2016 (UTC)
  • This article is new enough and long enough. The article is neutral and I detected no close paraphrasing in the spot checks I made. The image is properly licensed but should not be used with the present caption. The hook is very boring as it states the obvious, please suggest something more interesting. • Cwmhiraeth Thanks. Here is the ALT1 Hook suggestion ... that in Kashmir immigrant craftsmen from Persia perfected the craft of wood carving in wood of walnut (pictured a walnut wood carving) tree as a substitute for shishu wood? I have corrected the caption of the img.Nvvchar. 08:47, 22 February 2016 (UTC)
  • I have rewritten your suggestion to ALT2 which I am now approving. Cwmhiraeth (talk) 09:27, 22 February 2016 (UTC)

This was promoted by Allen3 and was already in Queue2, but I deleted it as a copyvio, as described at Wikipedia talk:Did you know#Copyvio article removed from Queue 2. For that reason I have reclosed this DYK nomination as "not promoted" instead. Fram (talk) 14:39, 24 February 2016 (UTC)
