  • Comment You may find that you've got the month wrong. Their first game is on 25 July. To expedite a review, maybe you ought to provide a source here for ALT1. Schwede66 08:21, 19 July 2021 (UTC) Thx! Victuallers (talk) 11:35, 19 July 2021 (UTC)
  • This has been a great improvement on the previous page, but there are a few issues. Firstly, I am unconvinced of the reliability of todor66.com. (Xinhua is deprecated, but I am going to IAR it as fine here as it seems non-controversial and not used for the hook.) The results section, and thus most of the infobox, is mostly unsourced. Lastly, the Current Squad section needs updating to the Olympic team if the aim is to present this as an Olympic hook. Other than that, the DYK criteria is fulfilled and the hook supported. It may be worth considering variations noting their apparent top standing within African competitions, or adding it is only the third qualification overall, or similar, to add a bit more meat. @Chipmunkdavis: Thanks for taking on a tricky review. Thx for noting the improvement. I have improved a lot of the biogs for the Kenyan volleyball team but there is quite a bit of duplication so I could not nom all of those. However the research created a fair history of the team so I added all the bits to this article to create what you see. This resulted in a 5x expansion in the text but I had no interest in checking all those stats as they are repeated across dozens of articles and there is an occasional ref to Todor66. The article "as is" is not a "GA" but it is 5x expansion according to DYK. Not sure what you should do. I'm quite happy to withdraw if you feel that we/I need to check all those stats. I could delete them all, but not I think an improvement. What do you think? Victuallers (talk) 13:49, 19 July 2021 (UTC)
As you note the issues are predominantly from the preceding content, rather than the expansion. I've checked through the other links, and it does appear that as you note Todor66 is ubiquitous. I also note that even with the first paragraph cited to Todo66 is excluded, the article still meets 5x expansion. I've found sources for all the Women's African Volleyball Championships on their various pages. My suggestion is to hide the three subsections without sources until the article has left the main page. I would agree to pass the rest, given the considerations mentioned. I also found [1], which while not of the highest quality, does provide some information such as the coaching of Paul Bitok. Which hook would you prefer? CMD (talk) 15:19, 19 July 2021 (UTC)
Thanks for the help @Chipmunkdavis:, you saved this! If not too late for their first match (@Schwede66: feel free to add the word "today" :)?) then alt1 works best imo, if not then the main hook. Cheers Victuallers (talk) 16:32, 19 July 2021 (UTC)
, noting preference for ALT1 and approving special date request. CMD (talk) 02:32, 20 July 2021 (UTC)
As reviewer, could you please comment on ALT2, User:Chipmunkdavis? Schwede66 04:27, 20 July 2021 (UTC)
@Schwede66 and Victuallers: ALT2 is also appropriate and sourced assuming it runs on 25 July. Looking at the source again I would suggest taking the "The" out of the bolded text, but this is minor. CMD (talk) 05:12, 20 July 2021 (UTC)
