King's Mead Priory[edit]

5x expanded by Rushton2010 (talk). Self nominated at 12:00, 26 April 2013 (UTC).

  • I'll preempt questions about the definitions of "priory" and "nunnery", and clarify; as have had prior DYK questioned by foreigners who were unclear on the terms. A priory is a religious establishment headed by a Prior (male) or Prioress (female). A Nunnery or a Convent are interchangeable terms for a religious community of women (nuns). So it is is possible to have a Priory which is both a convent and nunnery: it is a religious community of women, headed by a female Prioress. (The male equivalent wold be a Priory/Monastary - monks lead by a Prior) Hope that clarifies things for anyone who was unclear :) Rushton2010 (talk) 13:44, 26 April 2013 (UTC)
Girt big expansion here. Both hookline facts are online and check out, long enough, interesting enough, well referenced. Impressive! Hillbillyholiday talk 20:55, 17 May 2013 (UTC)
