Reviewer needed to complete the review, since the "policy" criteria don't appear to have been checked: neutrality, article sourcing, and close paraphrasing/copyvio. (Also, has the hook's sourcing been checked?) While the nominator only has had three nominations promoted to the main page, a fourth was just approved, and there are two others nominated, including this one. Either this nomination or the more recently nominated Template:Did you know nominations/2015 Lions–Cowboys officiating controversy will require a QPQ. BlueMoonset (talk) 23:12, 17 January 2015 (UTC)
- The hook would be acceptable if there was a citation at the end of the sentence, a DYK criterion. I would have added the citation but the #2 source does not mention the 1005 points that the article does, merely stating that he breached the 1000 barrier in the final game. So, if you want to stick with the 1005 figure in the article, you need a different source, otherwise you need to adjust the phraseology of the article so that it is supported by #2. - In the source (Wake Forest bio), it reads: "Finished with 1,005 career points, surpassing the milestone in his final collegiate game" in the first section. It also includes the 1,000 figure. Temple of the Mousy (talk) 14:18, 19 January 2015 (UTC)
You're right. I searched the source for "1005" but failed to search it for "1,005". This article is new enough and long enough. The hook fact is now sourced, the article is neutral and I detected no copyright issues. Cwmhiraeth (talk) 18:37, 19 January 2015 (UTC)
