I have struck the original hook because the Atacama Desert is not mentioned in the article, and ALT3 because the facts are not explicitly stated in the article. I favour ALT2, but ALT1 is also approved and both of these have inline citations. The article is neutral. The wording is quite technical and many of the sources are not available to me, so I could not judge whether there are any policy or other issues.
