Laem Phak Bia

  • ... that Laem Phak Bia is visited by several endangered species of wader? Source: "The critically endangered Spoon-billed Sandpiper is by far the most sought-after bird here which is regularly seen on the salt farms at Pak Thale between late October and late March. Nordmann's Greenshank is an annual winter visitor too "
  • Reviewed: Edward Sealy
  • Comment: All these birds are endangered but the sources used do not necessarily say that, so I have added ALT2.

General: Article is new enough and long enough

Hook eligibility:

QPQ: Done.

Overall: The bit about the village needs a cite, and some of the stuff on wastewater treatment would benefit from clarification; is the idea to plant mangroves in a wastewater treatment pool? I added refs for endangerment of the additional species, so all hooks are cited (except for the "often" in ALT2). ALT0 should specify that the waders are wading birds, and maybe link. Is QPQ needed here? HLHJ (talk) 04:40, 11 January 2020 (UTC)

ALT2 approved, Cwmhiraeth, Paul 012; feel free to suggest other hooks if you like (this one may not be interesting to non-birders; maybe add something about the sewage threat?). I made some edits; apart from the added citations for ALT2, approval is not conditional on them. Feel free to revert them, and I won't dispute it. HLHJ (talk) 01:37, 13 January 2020 (UTC)

ALT1 and ALT2 approved. I meant ALT1, off-by-1 error. However, I have now cited ALT2, as well. For clarity:

...is cited, but maybe not very hooky. HLHJ (talk) 19:30, 13 January 2020 (UTC)

  • Comment: Thanks for sharing the credit, but my contributions were rather minimal; I think it'd be fine to just give sole credit to Cwmhiraeth. --Paul_012 (talk) 07:51, 18 January 2020 (UTC)
