Overall: Could probably use some reorganization and citation style could be a bit clearer, but the hook is sourced and I don't note any serious problems. If I can suggest a one-word tweak to ALT2, borrowing from the wording in ALT1:
ALT3: ...that Lenny Schultz kept his day job as a high school gym teacher while gaining popularity on late-night talk shows and in comedy clubs? I find the juxtaposition of the "day job" and "late night TV" appealing. Otherwise, good to go for ALT2.AdventurousSquirrel (talk) 09:20, 4 April 2016 (UTC)
According to Wikipedia:Did you know#Eligibility criteria 3. Cited hook, a DYK article should use inline, cited sources. The article that @AdventurousSquirrel: reviewed was one long block of text with a bunch of inline citations at the end of the last sentence. I reformatted the article and added subheads. @Deoliveirafan: could you please add the relevant sourcing to each paragraph? It's okay if a sentence has more than one inline cite, or if the same cites are used for each paragraph, but the inline cites must be there. Also be sure that the sentence with the DYK hook fact has its own inline cite. Please note that I removed the freerepublic and wordpress sources, as they are not considered reliable sources. After you add the citations, I will do a further check for close paraphrasing. Thank you, Yoninah (talk) 21:05, 4 April 2016 (UTC)
OK, I can do that. I'll admit it, I was just being lazy when I put this article together (there's almost no info about him online). But I'm really busy tonight, so I'll have to get to this tomorrow. The first citation that you removed is a bit trivial, I can remove that sentence since I really only added it for lack of more content. The second one you removed is unfortunate, since it was the only source I found for his date of birth. Neither removed sources relate to the DYK. Anyway, will work on this tomorrow.Deoliveirafan (talk) 03:47, 6 April 2016 (UTC)
@Deoliveirafan: that's how it usually is, the non-reliable sources provide the most in-depth information! If those sources cite other sources, though, you can go back to the reliable sources for the information. It takes a lot of digging to write an article on a living person; unfortunately, after they've died, obituaries are much better sources. You could also look him up on Google newspapers or HighBeam Research, if you have a free subscription from Wikipedia. Best, Yoninah (talk) 11:03, 6 April 2016 (UTC)
Done. Thanks for the link, found one more article.Deoliveirafan (talk) 02:41, 7 April 2016 (UTC)
Thank you. Here is a full review: New enough, long enough, well referenced, neutrally written, no close paraphrasing seen. ALT3 hook verified and cited inline. I tweaked the hook to indicate he performed both on late-night TV and in comedy clubs. No QPQ needed for nominator with less than 5 DYK credits. ALT3 good to go.
