Leptoconops kerteszi[edit]

Created by SL93 (talk). Self-nominated at 11:20, 13 December 2018 (UTC).

  • Date, size, refs, hook, copyvio spotcheck, all GTG. A picture would be nice but is not necessary for a DYK, nor was I able to find one using CC free image search. --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 05:32, 14 December 2018 (UTC)
  • The hook is a yawn, surely something better can be found? Gatoclass (talk) 14:17, 15 December 2018 (UTC)
    • You’re honestly going to say that a better hook needs to be found after all those ship article hooks about them being named after something else? SL93 (talk) 15:04, 15 December 2018 (UTC)
I haven't seen any such hooks, but regardless, WP:OTHERSTUFFEXISTS is not a legitimate argument. However, if you want some help with this hook, you could try something like:
  • ALT1: ... that though the Bodega black gnat is named after a bay in California, it was first discovered in Egypt? Gatoclass (talk) 15:41, 15 December 2018 (UTC)
    • That hook is fine. I do think that it is a legitimate argument though in regards to a flaw of DYK. SL93 (talk) 15:46, 15 December 2018 (UTC)
