Li Lianyu[edit]

  • ... that a massive "welcoming ceremony" consisting of fireworks and lion dancers was held to greet county leader Li Lianyu who was returning to town after attending a Communist Party National Congress?
  • Comment: A subject that has received a lot of coverage in the world's most populous nation, but likely never seen the light of day in the English-speaking world. I fully acknowledge that all the sources I use in this article is in Chinese; I really wish there were English language sources, to make this article easier to review; that being said, I see this as a positive thing. It means that Wikipedia is the only place in the English-language internet where the subject is covered in depth.

  • Colipon, a QPQ (quid pro quo) review by you will be required, as you have five previous DYK nominations that were promoted to the main page. BlueMoonset (talk) 00:06, 24 November 2014 (UTC)
  • Article is new enough, long enough, neutral, and well referenced. Hook is a bit wordy, but it's barely within the 200-character limit, and supported with inline reference, so okay. No copyvio issues. QPQ is done. Good to go. -Zanhe (talk) 01:31, 25 November 2014 (UTC)
