- Article moved from user space on August 25, 2012, but only has 1,254 characters of readable prose. Very nice List Class article on Maine lighthouses, with great images, but DYK Check does not count characters in the list. Please expand lead to bring it up to 1,500 characters.

- 2,475 readable characters as of right now.
- First paragraph needs sourcing
- I have cited the historical list as the authority for inclusion in the table. The numbers came from counting and do not need to be sourced.
- Hook needs slight re-working. "...completed after independence..." is a vague time frame
- ... Alt 1 that among the fifty-seven active lighthouses in Maine are the easternmost in the country and the first completed after independence from Great Britain?
- ... Alt 2 that among the fifty-seven active lighthouses in Maine are the easternmost in the country and the first completed in the United States after its independence from Great Britain?
