Liturgy of St Cyril[edit]

Created/expanded by A ntv (talk). Self nom at 20:43, 8 May 2012 (UTC)

  • Close paraphrasing.
    • "The Liturgy of Saint Cyril (or Anaphora of Saint Cyril) is the most typically Egyptian of the three Anaphoras retained by the Coptic Church," in article compared to "ANAPHORA OF SAINT CYRIL, the most typically Egyptian of the three anaphoras retained in the euchologion of the Coptic church." "On about 1203 the great Byzantine canonist Theodore Balsamon" in article compared to "Around the year 1203 the Byzantine canonist Theodore Balsamon". "process of assimilation to Byzantine" in article compared to "process of Byzantinization". What does "typically Egyptian" mean? SL93 (talk) 16:44, 22 May 2012 (UTC)
      • I've fully reworded the two sentences. However I was a little concerned about your remark because the Close paraphrasing is not a policy and I supposed it is allowed when supported by an inline citation and extremely limited in extend (half a sentence for each source): now editors will object that the refs say something slightly different. • It might not be a policy, but that is consensus for DYK. Per criterion number 4 on WP:DYK, "Nominations should be rejected if an inspection reveals that they are not based on reliable sources, violate WP:BLP, or have problems with the close paraphrasing or copyright violations of images and/or text." It should say the same things slightly different. SL93 (talk) 18:26, 22 May 2012 (UTC)
        • The hook needs to be changed now that typically Egyptian isn't in the article. SL93 (talk) 18:31, 22 May 2012 (UTC)
