- Does she have to be the only woman to be interesting? And besides being a woman, she's also a Hui, another rarity among Chinese leaders. -Zanhe (talk) 06:16, 16 May 2013 (UTC)
- Of course the hook has to showcase something interesting. That's the basic criteria before new/5x/1500 characters and all that. If there are many other women and many other Huis, our subject doesn't showcase anything interesting. §§Dharmadhyaksha§§ {T/C} 06:35, 16 May 2013 (UTC)
- Please read the hook again. I'm not saying she's interesting just because she's a woman or Hui, but because she's one of the few women leaders of China, who also happens to be a Hui (a Muslim minority). AFAIK, she's the only female Hui leader in China or the world (although I can't find a source that explicitly says that). - Okay! If you think she is the only Hui-woman-politician then thats interesting. And even without a proper ref to that particular combination i can pass it as this is good enough clue. Anyways... reinstating the original tick. Prose is now quite more than 1500.
