- These two articles qualify for DYK on the grounds of length and newness. I see no evidence of close paraphrasing, however the hook reference does not seem to bear out the statement in the hook. I would suggest as an alternative hook: -
- ALT1 ... that before the success of his debut LP, 2, Canadian musician Mac DeMarco worked as a labourer repairing roads? Cwmhiraeth (talk) 10:53, 6 December 2012 (UTC)
- It's in footnote #3, quote "he made his way east last year but, not speaking any French, his prospects were so dim that he resorted to volunteering for medical experiments ..... But you gotta get paid somehow!" I'd prefer the medical experiment hook, just for shock/humour aspect. The road crew has a similar effect, but not as much. The intraplate deformation review completely failed to check the sources; The Interior approved the article for the Main Page even though the freely-available-online source for the hook statement didn't address the issues in question and even though several of the sources had no page number indications anywhere in the article. Putting this on hold until a proper review is conducted to replace it. Nyttend (talk) 13:21, 9 December 2012 (UTC)
- I apologise for the misunderstanding, because I was wrong. As soon as someone verifies this article, it should be approved. Nyttend (talk) 06:18, 11 December 2012 (UTC)

- Refs now added to discography, had to pull a few that were only reported in borderline sources. Found an article today that gives his birthplace, which is nice. I think the longer piped link in the hook is an improvement, might get more readers into the second article. The Interior (Talk) 22:10, 12 December 2012 (UTC)

- Icons added because the second article, 2 (Mac DeMarco album), still needs to be reviewed, so this is not yet ready for promotion. BlueMoonset (talk) 00:44, 24 December 2012 (UTC)
- Both articles are new enough and long enough and well cited. Both hooks are referenced but let's go with the original one. Cwmhiraeth (talk) 09:20, 29 December 2012 (UTC)
